Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026

1. Free plan

Signew's Free plan (1 template · 10 distinct signers) is available indefinitely with no charge. You can use Signew without ever upgrading. If you stay on the Free plan, this policy does not apply to you.

2. Subscriptions auto-renew

Paid plans — Professional ($12/month or $99/year) and Organizational ($29/month or $299/year) — are billed in advance and renew automatically at the end of each billing period using the payment method on file. We don't surprise you: renewal notices are sent by email 30 days and 7 days before each annual renewal.

3. Cancel anytime

  • You can cancel any paid subscription anytime from Settings → Plan → Manage billing(for personal subscriptions) or from your organization's settings page (for organizational subscriptions).
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep full access until then.
  • No further charges occur after cancellation. Your Stripe subscription is closed automatically.

4. Refunds

Because you can cancel anytime and retain access through the end of your paid period, we don't issue refunds for partial usage. We do issue refunds in these specific cases:

  • Accidental or duplicate charges. If you were charged in error or twice for the same period, we'll issue a full refund.
  • First-month grace, no waivers signed. If you upgrade and request a refund within 14 days of the first charge — and haven't yet collected any signatures on paid-tier templates — we'll refund the first charge in full.
  • Service-side outage. If a Signew incident prevented you from using the service for a material portion of your billing period (more than 48 hours of downtime), we'll pro-rate a refund or credit at our discretion.

Refunds typically reach your card within 5–10 business days after we issue them, depending on your bank.

5. Downgrades and plan changes

You can downgrade or change plan tier at any time from the Customer Portal. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period; no credit is issued for the unused portion of the more expensive plan. Upgrades are pro-rated — you're charged the difference for the current period and the new plan continues from there.

6. Free trials

Signew does not currently offer free trials of paid plans. Our Free plan acts as the trial: it's indefinite, requires no card, and includes everything you need to verify the product fits your workflow before you upgrade.

7. Closed or archived accounts

If you close a Professional account or an Organization, any active subscription is canceled at the end of the current billing period. Signed waivers remain accessible per the data-retention terms in our Privacy Policy. No refunds are issued for the closure itself, but the cancel-anytime rules in section 3 still apply.

8. How to request a refund

Email support@signew.io from the address associated with your Signew account. Include your account email, the charge date, and a brief description of the issue. We respond within 2 business days.

9. Disputes and chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we're a small team and resolve almost everything informally within 48 hours. Filing a chargeback before contacting support typically results in the loss of access to your Signew account pending dispute resolution by Stripe, our payment processor.

10. Payment processor

Signew uses Stripe to process all payments. Stripe stores your card data securely; we never see your full card number. Stripe's terms apply alongside ours.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to all paying customers at least 14 days before they take effect. The most current version is always at signew.io/refunds.
